The VELscope® is an enhanced oral cancer assessment system used by dentists and hygienists to help visualize oral mucosal abnormalities, including oral cancer, pre-cancerous lesions (dysplasia), infections, and trauma. It is an adjunctive tool to the comprehensive oral examination (COE), which is the standard screening for oral cancer.
